> ℹ️ **How do I find the ambiCHARGE Wallbox serial number or the HMI serial number?**


> ℹ️ It is not needed to open the Wallbox to get the serial number.


## ambiCHARGE serial number:

The serial number is assigned to your wallbox and can be found as a QR code and as numbers on the inside and outside of every ambiCHARGE BiDi Wallbox.

#### Outside

The serial number is placed on the bottom of the device:

#### Interpretation of serial number:

- The <span style="color: #36b37e">green</span> section - 5 digits - represents the unique number.
- The <span style="color: #ff5630">red</span>-marked area in the photo shows the hardware version – as example in the picture: v0.55.
- The first 4 digits are the year of manufacturing.

## HMI serial number:

In most cases, only the serial number of the charger is required. However, in some situations, the serial number of the HMI may also be helpful.

You can find this serial number in two ways:

a. In the “**System** **Info”** section of the sid-OS app or web UI (Pic. 1)  
b. On the label located somewhere on the front of the HMI  (Pic. 2)
